Who we work with

Built for people and businesses with a foot in more than one country

Cross-border tax mistakes rarely come from one bad return. They come from two returns prepared by people who never compared notes. These are the clients we see most often.

Overseas Pakistanis

Working in the UAE, UK or US with property, rent or bank profit back home, and a filing obligation in both places.

Businesses expanding abroad

Pakistani companies opening in Dubai, London or the US that need books and filings in more than one system.

Foreign companies in Pakistan

Businesses setting up a Pakistani company or branch and needing SECP, FBR and sales tax compliance from day one.

Freelancers and remote earners

People paid by foreign clients who need their income, foreign tax and Pakistan return to line up correctly.

How it works

Fully remote, from first message to filing

You can be in Dubai, London, Houston or Lahore. Work happens on WhatsApp and email, and we are reachable by phone around the clock.

  1. Message or call us

Tell us which countries are involved and what you need. The first consultation is free, whatever your time zone.

  2. Share your documents

We send a checklist for your case. Send the files on WhatsApp or email, whichever is easier.

  3. Review the draft

We prepare each filing and walk you through the figures. Nothing is submitted until you approve it.

  4. We file and track

You receive each acknowledgement, and we diarise your next due dates in every country.

Why Finvocates

One team that sees the whole picture

When rental income in Pakistan, a salary in Dubai and a UK property all belong to the same person, the question is not only what to file in each country but which country taxes what first and where relief is claimed. That is easier to get right when one team holds all the figures.

Our office is in Islamabad, and we work with clients wherever they are based. If you are in Pakistan and want local help with returns, NTN registration or an FBR notice, see our page for a tax consultant in Islamabad.

  • ACCA and ICAP Chartered Accountant qualifications for accounts, financial statements and tax computations
  • LLB-qualified advocate for notices, audits and appeals
  • FBR-registered income tax practitioner on the team
  • Working since 2014, with 500+ filings across Pakistan, the US, UAE and UK
  • Available 24/7 by phone and WhatsApp, across time zones

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can one firm really handle tax in Pakistan, the US, the UAE and the UK?

Yes. We prepare each country's filings ourselves and keep the figures consistent across them, so income reported in one country lines up with any credit or exemption claimed in another. You deal with one team and one set of documents instead of four separate advisers who never speak to each other.

Will I be taxed twice on the same income?

Usually not, if the filings are done properly. Pakistan has double taxation treaties with many countries, the United Kingdom among them, and most tax systems also give credit for tax already paid abroad. Which relief applies depends on where you are resident and the type of income, so we work that out first and then claim it in the right return.

I am an overseas Pakistani. Do I still need to file a tax return in Pakistan?

It depends on your residence status for the tax year and whether you have Pakistan-source income such as rent, bank profit or gains on property. Even where filing is not strictly required, many overseas Pakistanis file to stay on the Active Taxpayers List, because non-filers face higher withholding tax on property purchases and several other transactions.

I missed Pakistan's 30 September return deadline. What happens now?

You can still file the return on IRIS, and you should do it as soon as possible. To get back onto the Active Taxpayers List after a late return, the Finance Act 2026 raised the surcharge under section 182A to Rs 25,000 for individuals, Rs 50,000 for associations of persons and Rs 100,000 for companies. A late-filing penalty and default surcharge on any unpaid tax can apply on top of that.

My company is based abroad and wants to operate in Pakistan. Where do we start?

The first decision is the structure: a locally incorporated company or a registered branch of the foreign company, both through SECP. After that come NTN registration with FBR, sales tax registration if your activity requires it, and a bookkeeping and filing calendar from the first month. We plan these steps with you before anything is registered.

Does a UAE business have to file a VAT return even with no sales?

Yes. A VAT-registered business must file a return for every tax period assigned by the Federal Tax Authority, including nil returns. The return is due within 28 days of the end of the tax period, and most businesses file quarterly.

When is the UK Self Assessment deadline?

For online returns it is 31 January following the end of the UK tax year on 5 April, and any tax owed is normally due on the same day. Paper returns are due earlier, on 31 October.

Which US filings do you handle?

We prepare federal individual returns on Form 1040, which are normally due on 15 April, quarterly estimated tax payments for the self-employed, and filings and bookkeeping for small businesses. We also coordinate the US figures with your Pakistan, UAE or UK returns where income overlaps.

Do I need to visit your office?

No. Most clients work with us entirely online, sharing documents on WhatsApp or email and approving each filing before it is submitted. Our office in Islamabad is open to clients who prefer to meet in person.

How much do your services cost?

Fees depend on the countries and the work involved. The first consultation is free, and after it we give you a fixed written quote before starting, so you know the cost in advance.
